She is now releasing the title track from the album. Her music is a soulful blend of R&B, pop, world, and jazz with a strong influence from her Jamaican cultural background.

“Because I Want To” begins with Bullings singing a multi-layered intro over a pop, R&B, and Calypso fused setting. The two-chord progression for the verse builds energy for Bullings’ warm, beautiful voice to smoothly navigate the catchy melody. Her use of vocal harmonies is effective and colors vital moments in the phrase. The chorus is a combination of vocals with and without lyrics, which adds to the uniqueness of the song. Bullings’ R&B roots show in her soulful patterns that she uses to adorn the melody. The song has excellent flow, and as Bullings matures into her songwriting skills, the strength and variety of her melodies will only get stronger and more assured.

“Because I Want To” finds Bullings beautiful voice singing a melody that has an essence of jazz, soul, and R&B with her poetic lyrics. Her Jamaican heritage brings a refreshingly different influence on her songwriting and singing. She is one to watch for creating a pop-jazz sound that is modern, sexy, expressive, and genuinely conveyed.
